01. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Editor", "User", "you") and WeeSofty Media ("WeeSofty Media", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of our editor management platform, onboarding application portal, and associated creative services.
By clicking "I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions", submitting an onboarding application, accessing your assigned editor portal, or accepting a creative project assignment, you signify your full agreement to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the platform.
02. Eligibility and Account Registration
To apply for and participate in the WeeSofty Media Editor Community, you must be at least 18 years of age (or have attained the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and possess full legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete personal and professional details during onboarding. Creating fictitious identities or submitting fraudulent credentials is strictly prohibited.
03. Account Security and Password Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality of your login credentials (username and password) and for all actions, project submissions, and communications originating from your account.
- You must not share your account credentials, delegate assignments to third parties, or sub-contract projects without explicit written approval from a WeeSofty Media manager.
- You agree to notify WeeSofty Media support immediately upon discovering any unauthorized access or security breach involving your account.
04. Editor Onboarding and Account Approval
WeeSofty Media operates an invite-only, curated creative network. Submitting an onboarding form does not create an employee, partner, or agency relationship, nor does it guarantee acceptance into the community.
WeeSofty Media reserves the absolute discretion to approve, defer, or decline applications based on current client demand, portfolio review ratings, equipment compatibility, and category specialties.
05. Editor Profile Accuracy and Portfolio Ownership
By submitting portfolio links (such as Google Drive folders, YouTube playlists, Behance, or Vimeo showcases), you warrant and represent that:
- The editing, pacing, color grading, motion graphics, and audio craft in the submitted work samples reflect your own genuine creative contributions.
- You have the legal right or client authorization to display these sample cuts for review purposes.
- Your declared hardware equipment, operating system, and software proficiencies accurately reflect your actual daily editing workstation capabilities.
06. Project Assignments and Acceptance
When WeeSofty Media assigns a commercial video editing project, the assignment details will specify:
- Agreed compensation in Indian Rupees (₹, INR).
- Project scope, target duration, aspect ratio, and creative reference cuts.
- Raw footage / asset cloud links and specific instructions.
- Strict delivery deadline and revision limit.
Accepting an assignment creates a contractual commitment to complete the cut according to the agreed brief and timeline. If you cannot fulfill an assignment after reviewing the brief, you must decline promptly so it can be reassigned.
07. Deadlines, Deliverables, and Quality Standards
Timely delivery is essential to commercial client relationships. Each project carries a visible countdown deadline.
- Deadline Adherence: First cut deliverables must be submitted before the countdown expires. If unexpected technical failure occurs, you must request an extension via WhatsApp before the deadline passes.
- Professional Benchmarks: Deliverables must meet industry standards: clean audio normalization (e.g. -14 LUFS for short-form), color balance, correct render codecs (H.264 / ProRes as requested), and zero watermark or rendering artifacts.
08. Submission, Review, Revisions, Approval, and Rejection
Upon deliverable submission, our creative director or project reviewer will evaluate the cut:
- Constructive Revisions: If adjustments are required, reviewers will provide clear, timestamped feedback. Editors agree to execute requested adjustments within agreed revision limits (typically 2 to 3 iterations).
- Final Approval: When the cut meets all creative specifications, the reviewer marks the project as "Approved", immediately crediting the agreed compensation to your earnings ledger.
- Rejection Criteria: Deliverables may be rejected without payment only under grave conditions, such as plagiarized work, willful abandonment of deadlines without notice, or total failure to address specified revision notes.
09. Confidentiality and Client Intellectual Property
Editors have access to valuable commercial property, including raw video shoots, unreleased product launches, scripts, influencer voiceovers, and proprietary brand graphics.
10. Ownership and Permitted Use of Submitted Work
All editing work performed on client assignments is performed on a "work-for-hire" basis. Upon payment approval:
- All worldwide copyrights, intellectual property rights, and commercial exploitation rights in the finalized video cut transfer to WeeSofty Media and its designated commercial clients.
- Editors may include publicly released, finished commercial cuts in their private personal showreels or password-protected portfolios only when authorized in the project brief.
11. Manual Payment Policy
There are no platform marketplace deduction fees. Editors receive 100% of their agreed project compensation as displayed on their assignment brief.
12. UPI Details and Payment Requests
Editors are responsible for maintaining an active, verified Unified Payments Interface (UPI) ID or bank account in their finance preferences.
- You must ensure that your Virtual Payment Address (e.g.
username@bank) is active and capable of receiving direct bank deposits. - WeeSofty Media is not responsible for funds misdirected due to typographical errors in the UPI details or bank account numbers provided by the editor.
13. Standard Payment Processing Target (48–72 Hours)
For standard payout requests, WeeSofty Media targets a processing window of 48 to 72 hours following final project approval and claim submission.
Disclosed Exceptions: Processing may experience reasonable delays during national banking holidays, weekend bank clearing cutoffs, UPI server maintenance, or when banking information requires secondary verification.
14. Weekly and Month-End Payout Schedules
Editors may choose their preferred payout schedule in their finance settings:
- Standard Payout: Processed on the standard 48–72-hour window following claim approval.
- Weekly Cycle: Consolidated approved project earnings throughout the week processed as a single lump-sum transfer every Friday.
- Month-End Cycle: Total monthly creative earnings processed on the 1st day of the following calendar month, accompanied by an itemized monthly statement.
15. Manual Transfer Confirmation and Transaction Evidence
To ensure absolute transparency and auditability:
- Approving a payout request does not mean that money has already moved. Approval confirms that the work and claim are verified.
- A payout is marked "Paid" only after our Finance team executes the manual transfer and attaches the official bank transaction reference number (UTR) and proof screenshot.
- Editors can inspect transaction reference numbers and download verified transfer proof screenshots directly from their `/finance` portal.
16. Payment Disputes and Corrections
If you believe an error has occurred regarding your compensation balance, payment status, or transfer amount:
- Notify WeeSofty Media support via our official WhatsApp channel within 7 calendar days of the payout status update.
- Provide the project code, payment request code, and bank passbook/UPI statement showing the discrepancy.
- Our Finance Manager will audit the ledger records and issue a correction or clarification within 48 business hours.
17. Prohibited Conduct, Fraud, and Misuse
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Submitting work generated by other editors or asserting false ownership over portfolio assets.
- Using unverified, pirated, or unauthorized media assets that infringe third-party copyrights or trademarks.
- Attempting to bypass platform security controls, reverse-engineer encryption handshakes, or inject malicious payloads.
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing community members, creative reviewers, or managers.
- Creating duplicate or fraudulent accounts to manipulate campaign responses or onboarding queues.
18. Platform Availability and Acceptable Use
WeeSofty Media strives for continuous platform availability but provides the service on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not warrant that platform operations will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely bug-free during server maintenance or datacenter outages.
19. Account Suspension and Termination
WeeSofty Media reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account access immediately upon:
- Material breach of these Terms, including confidentiality or intellectual property violations.
- Willful project abandonment or persistent failure to meet quality requirements.
- Fraudulent financial claims or submitting false payment details.
In the event of account termination, any undisputed compensation accrued for previously approved deliverables will be disbursed to your registered UPI ID in the ordinary payment cycle.
20. Liability Limitations and Legal Requirements
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WeeSofty Media and its officers, managers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits or data arising out of your participation in the platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian statutory law.
21. Changes to the Terms
WeeSofty Media reserves the right to update or modify these Terms as our workforce operations develop. When revisions occur, we will update the "Last Updated" timestamp and Terms Version at the top of this document.
Continued participation in creative assignments or access to your portal after updated Terms are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
22. Contact and Dispute-Resolution Procedure
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising under or relating to these Terms shall first be addressed through informal, good-faith negotiation with WeeSofty Media management via our official support channels:
